Former Sen. Mary Landrieu has ruled out another run for elected office, and definitely “not ever” again for Senate.

“I’ve pretty much closed that door,” the Louisiana Democrat said in an interview with CQ Magazine. “Definitely not ever again for Congress.”

Landrieu lost her race for re-election against Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy in 2014. But while she is closing the door, a few of her former Democratic colleagues are running again for their former seats.

Former Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh is running for the seat being vacated by GOP Sen. Dan Coats — the same seat Bayh held before he chose not to seek re-election six years ago. Similarly, former Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold is seeking a rematch against Sen. Ron Johnson, who beat him in 2010.

Former Alaska Democratic Sen. Mark Begich, who lost to Dan Sullivan in 2014, is reportedly considering a write-in Senate campaign to challenge Republican incumbent, Lisa Murkowski.

Landrieu is currently a senior policy adviser at the law firm Van Ness Feldman in Washington. She’s helped Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton raise more than $50,000 in donations.
