Brian Fallon, a former Capitol Hill aide, is expected to be named as a prominent spokesman for Hillary Rodham Clinton’s likely presidential campaign.

The Washington Post reported  Tuesday that Fallon, now the director of public affairs at the Department of Justice, will be the “lead press secretary” on the quickly growing Clinton team. Fallon served as a top spokesman to Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., for six years before moving to the DOJ in 2013. In 2011, he added the role of spokesman for the newly formed Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Center.

“Brian Fallon is one of the smartest and most talented people who has ever worked for me and will serve Hillary Clinton extremely well,” Schumer said in a statement.

In 2006, Fallon was campaign press secretary for Sen. Robert Menedez, D-N.J. He also held press jobs on the Kerry-Edwards presidential campaign two years earlier.

A Harvard graduate, Fallon is married to White House legislative affairs director Katie Beirne Fallon.
