This year, International Women’s Day was also an excuse to skip work in protest. The “A Day Without a Woman” rally aimed to show the economic strength and political clout of women. Here in Washington D.C., participants wore red and gathered in front of the U.S. Capitol and women in the House Democratic Caucus walked out of the chamber to show support.
