Cantor Spends $1 Million, Koch Contributes

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., reported spending over $1 million during April and three weeks in May, prior to his upcoming primary on June 10th. National donors, such as David Koch, and interest groups helped fund his campaign.  

Cantor for Congress, the campaign committee of Rep. Eric Cantor , R-Va., reported  it had receipts of $449,300 and disbursements of $1,002,774 from April 1st through May 21st, leaving $1,500,911 cash on hand.  

Bank Gives $250K Unsecured Loan to Super PAC (Updated)

In an unusual transaction, a Super PAC has reported receiving an unsecured $250,150 loan from a financial institution to use for making independent expenditures in the 2014 primary elections.  

The Mississippi Conservatives , a Republican-oriented Super PAC supporting Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., in the June 3rd Republican primary, reported  it had receipts of $717,993 during the first quarter of 2014, including a $250,150 loan from Trustmark Bank in Jackson, Mississippi. Trustmark (NASDAQ:TRMK) is a publicly traded corporation.  

Republican Super PAC Raises Over $5 Million From Big Donors

A Republican Super PAC has raised $5.2 million in the first quarter of the year from 24 donors.  

American Crossroads , a Republican-oriented Super PAC, reported  it had receipts of $5,238,249 and disbursements of $613,597 during the first quarter. Twenty-four donors contributed a total of $5,237,500.  

John Bolton Super PAC Raises $768K


The Super PAC of John Bolton, a former ambassador to the United Nations and former Assistant Attorney General in the Reagan administration, has raised large contributions from Republican donors in the first quarter.  

The John Bolton Super PAC  reported  it had receipts of $768,937 and disbursements of $89,043 during the first quarter, leaving $1,135,676 cash on hand as of March 31st.  

DeVos Family Funds Super PAC

Members of the DeVos family, who are major financial supporters of conservative causes, have pumped a half million dollars into a Republican-oriented Super PAC on the last day of January.  

The New Republican PAC , a Republican-oriented Super PAC, reported on Tuesday it had receipts of $500,000 and disbursements of $10,254 during January, leaving $502,015 cash on hand on 1/31.
