President Donald Trump’s speech in Phoenix on August 22, in which he threatened a government shutdown and criticized Republican lawmakers, isn’t going to help Congress get things done in September.

After House Democrats on Thursday ended their sit-in on the House floor, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi vowed to continue their fight for gun control until they get a vote.
“Let me be really clear about this: We cannot stop until we get a bill,” the California Democrat said.
