Liberal Health Care Group Launches Seven-Figure Campaign
Will target vulnerable Republicans in more than 20 districts

A liberal health care group is launching a seven-figure campaign targeting more than 20 congressional districts ahead of the midterm elections.

Health Care Voter announced the campaign on Thursday and said it will also release a 50-state voter guide for every candidate for federal office.

Republican Rep. Mike Coffman was criticized at a town hall event in Greenwood Village, Colorado, for not taking action on guns. 

Coffman, a perennial target for Democrats, was booed when he said “reasonable restrictions within the parameters of the Second Amendment,” The Associated Press reported.

Colorado Republican Rep. Mike Coffman wants to force Congress to vote on his legislation that would extend the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

Coffman said he plans to file a discharge petition to force a vote on legislation he introduced in January known as the Bridge Act.

Democrats are once again eyeing Rep. Mike Coffman’s elusive Colorado seat as they look to take back the House in 2018.

For the past three election cycles, the Republican congressman’s personal brand and relationships with minority communities in the diverse 6th District in suburban Denver, along with a relentless campaign apparatus, have propelled him to re-election since the district was redrawn in 2012. Some Democrats say an anti-Republican environment could sweep Coffman out of office, while others aren’t as confident.

Vulnerable Colorado Republican Mike Coffman said Tuesday that he might skip the presidential race when he votes next month.

"I don't know if I'll vote for president," the 6th District congressman told Denver NBC affiliate 9News. "I'm not going to vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. I'm struggling with it like many Americans."
