"As a parent of three young kids myself... I was shocked to hear Juul had access to children without teachers or administrators and without parental permission," said Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi during the hearing on Wednesday.

The hearing was meant to examine Juul's role in the youth nicotine epidemic.

Krishnamoorthi spoke directly to two teenagers at the hearing who attended an in-school Juul presentation they were told was a mental health and addiction seminar their freshman year of high school.
