Shkreli’s Long Strange Trip Into Trump World

Drug exec gets trolled by fake candidate

The fact that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump publicly dumped on him in the media hasn’t deterred embattled entrepreneur Martin Shkreli from endorsing him.

“I support him vs. Hillary,” Shkreli announced on social media Thursday evening.

The show of support stumped those who recalled how Trump has treated Shkreli in the past.

“He looks like a spoiled brat to me,” the White House hopeful said of Shkreli late last summer while campaigning in South Carolina.

Shkreli attempted to brush all that aside.

“He was just piling on what was popular at the time,” Shkreli told someone who pointed out the past dis on Twitter.

In an effort to solidify his position, Shkreli took a page directly from the Trump playbook and attacked the media.

At one point he seemed to challenge Trump’s entire platform.

Not to mention the fact that there’s a “Bernie 2016” bumper sticker affixed to the Marshall amp just over his left shoulder in the extended video chat he embarked on just after midnight.

Things got even more confusing once Shkreli wound up in a back-and-forth with a parody account he mistook for the real estate mogul.
