Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced his chamber's traditional August recess would be scrapped back on June 5, but that doesn't mean the website or PDFs of the Senate calendar for the rest of the year have been updated more than one month later.

The calendar on Senate.gov and its accompanying pdf still show the chamber will be out — a “state work period” in congressional parlance —for the bulk of August, starting on Aug. 6 and stretching to Sept. 3.
