New York Rep. Grace Meng has been selected as the Democratic National Committee’s vice-chairwoman.

Meng was elected unanimously by the DNC’s members at their post-Democratic National Convention meeting, Politico reported .

The congresswoman addressed the convention on Wednesday.

Meng was first elected to Congress in 2012 and previously worked as a campaign aide for her father, Jimmy Meng, who served in the New York State Assembly.

Her district covers the north part of Queens.

In February, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard stepped down from the post  when she endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders for president.

The committee’s chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, announced that she would resign her position at the end of the convention following a DNC data breach.
