With a comfortable lead in her Senate campaign, California Attorney General General Kamala Harris is turning her attention to helping some down-ballot Democrats in their races.

Most polls show Harris beating 10-term Rep. Loretta Sanchez, by double digits. The two Democrats finished 1-2 in the state’s open primary to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer.

On Sunday, Harris campaigned for Democrat Bryan Caforio, who is challenging freshman Republican Rep. Steve Knight in California’s 25th District, and for Democratic state legislative candidates, the Los Angeles Times reported.

She’s also endorsed Democratic candidates like Salud Carbajal, who is running to replace Democratic Rep. Lois Capps in the 24th District, and Retired Marine Col. Doug Applegate, who is challenging GOP Rep. Darrell Issa in the 49th District.

Asked about Harris’ focusing on other campaigns during the last week of their race, Sanchez said she’s not paying attention her opponent.

“I don’t notice what’s she’s doing. I’m concentrating on what I’m doing,” Sanchez said.
