Realtors, Goldman Sachs, Comcast Move Money to Cantor

New fundraising reports show the Realtors have engaged more than 75 individual realtors from 35 states to contribute during March to the leadership PAC of Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., the House Majority Leader.  

The Realtors PAC gave Cantor’s PAC, Every Republican is Crucial (EricPAC) , $5,000, and 77 realtors from 35 states contributed $34,500 more.  

The PAC reported  receipts of $380,206 and disbursements of $282,252, during March, leaving $539,394 cash on hand. The committee received $158,129 in transfers from joint fundraising committees; and $151,000 from PACs and other committees.  

The Goldman Sachs Group PAC gave $5,000.  Lloyd Blankfein, CEO and chairman, gave $5,000. The Comcast PAC gave $5,000. The Google NetPAC gave $5,000.  

Insurance company PACs giving include Prudential Financial State and Federal PAC $5,000; RGA Reinsurance Company Federal PAC $5,000; AFLAC PAC $5,000; Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance PAC $3,000; Pacific Life Insurance Co PAC $2,500; and the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers PAC $2,500.  

Simon Falic, chairman of Duty Free Americas, and six other members of the Falic family gave a  total of $14,000.  

Other donors included Stanley Druckenmiller (Duquesne Family Office, NY) $5,000; Christopher Ruddy (CEO, NewsMax, FL) $5,000; R. Ted Weschler (investment manager, Berkshire Hathaway, VA) $5,000; and Mortimer Zuckerman (real estate/publishing, Boston Properties, NY) $5,000; among others.  

The committee receipts included two refunds of contributions it had given to campaigns. The campaign committee of former Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla., who resigned from Congress after a conviction for cocaine possession, returned $5,000. The campaign committee of Rep. Tom Latham, R-Iowa, who has announced he will not seek re-election, returned $5,000.
