While national party committees and outside super PACs smother Florida’s 13th Congressional District with millions of dollars of media ads, the candidates continue to raise funds for their special election on Tuesday.

Last-minute contribution notices in the previous three weeks show Republican David Jolly reporting more large contributions than Democrat Alex Sink, but doing little to close the huge financial advantage Sink had three weeks ago.

From the February 20th through March 8th, Republican Jolly has reported over $250,000 in last-minute contributions of $1,000 or more. Democrat Sink reported over $139,000 in last-minute contributions of $1,000 or more.

Jolly reported receiving $43,450 from interest groups PACs; $86,100 from the campaign committees and leadership PACs of members of Congress; and $122,300 from individuals, of which $31,400 were from out-of-state individuals.

Sink reported receiving $49,000 from interest group PACs; $12,000 from the campaign committees and leadership PACs of members of Congress; and $69,300 from individuals, of which $17,800 were from out-of-state individuals. The campaign also transferred in $8,697 from the Alex Sink Victory Committee.

From January 1st through February 19th, Jolly reported receipts of $638,537 and disbursements of $529,302, leaving $182,189 cash on hand as of 2/19, and $161,739 in debts. Sink reported receipts of $1,307,319 and disbursement s of $1,478,581, leaving $971,587 cash on hand as of 2/19.
