Women’s March adds new partners

Women’s March adds partners

More groups have been added as partners of the Women’s March on Washington on Jan. 21, the day after Trump’s inauguration.

On Thursday, the Natural Resources Defense Council became a partner to focus on climate action, including clean air, safe water, and healthy communities. And an election-based organization, Working Families, hopes to focus on equal wages, health care, and paid family leave.

More SafeTrack in 2017

SafeTrack will continue until June 2017, Metro announced on Thursday. Surges will resume on Feb. 11 with an 18-day surge on the Blue line. But major work that affects rush-hour service is still suspended during January “due to the inauguration and the potential for winter weather impacts.”
