Are you a poet and you don’t even know it? Busboys and Poets will host an open mic night Tuesday at their 14th Street location. Hosted by Droopy the Broke Baller, the audience can expect spoken word performances by various artists from amateurs to modern day Emersons.

What do The Chainsmokers and Ray LaMontagne have in common besides a few combined Grammy awards? They’ll be in D.C. Tuesday — The Chainsmokers perform at Capital One Arena while LaMontagne graces the Strathmore with his sultry voice and romantic ballads.

29 and feeling fine

Ever wandered through a friend’s house just to check out what each room looks like? 29Rooms is like that — but being curious is allowed. The artistic showcase by Refinery29 features rooms with different themes that inspire creativity and imagination. The immersive experience begins this Friday at Stadium Armory.

 

No sweat

Each Saturday, Lululemon on 14th Street hosts a 50-minute “flow and sweat” guided by Michelle Lee of Lululemon and founder of Vibrate Higher. “Sweat and release through a guided practice of yoga and kinesthetics,” according to the Eventbrite description. Warning: There will be burpees.

Lab at first sight

If you’ve ever thought about adopting the next member of your family, this weekend might be the time to do it. Lab Rescue is holding an adoption event on Sunday at Petsmart in Annapolis.
