Rebecca Adams has covered all of the major legislative health care battles since 1998, including the 2003 Medicare prescription drug bill and the 2010 health care overhaul. She temporarily changed beats to cover the Bush administration’s policies on energy and the environment. She also served as a general domestic policy regulatory reporter for CQ Weekly magazine for a couple of years. She has freelanced for many publications, including The Washington Post and USA Today. Before coming to Washington in early 1998, Adams wrote for The Arizona Republic, The Chattanooga Times and The Macon Telegraph. She was a stringer for The New York Times in Tennessee. She graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in political science.
