Award-winning journalist Annie Groer brings a distinctive voice to the worlds of politics, culture, design, lifestyle and 21st-century manners. She has been a staff writer for the Washington Post, senior Washington correspondent for the Orlando Sentinel and a presidential debate panelist. At PoliticsDaily.com, she created and wrote the Republic of Dish column in addition to covering campaigns. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, TheAtlantic.com, as well as Town & Country, More and Washingtonian magazines. Since 1990, Annie Groer has been a member of the Gridiron Club, a pre – eminent group of Washington journalists.She has also chaired the judges’ panel for the Robert F.Kennedy Journalism Awards.She holds a bachelor’ s degree in Journalism with Political Science and English minors from the University of Maryland, and was a Russell Sage Graduate Fellow in Urban Studies at the University of Wisconsin. A co – founder of the Art Deco Society of Washington, Annie twice represented the District of Columbia in the National Chicken Cooking Contest and once danced across the Kennedy Center Stage with Liberace.She lives in Georgetown and is at work on a memoir.
