From tributes to senators to hours of testimony from a tech giant, spring has been a visual mixed bag in Congress.

Lawmakers like these oversized and sometimes garish visual aids because they help them get their point across. The Twitter handle @FloorCharts posts some of the daily highlights, and we’re doing a monthly roundup of the best of the best.

In the screenshot at the top of the story, Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., made his stance on President Donald Trump’s administration very clear on April 13.  We’re not sure that “Cabinet of Corruption” is in the league of Axis of Evil, but Lieu made his point about EPA Director Scott Pruitt.

Also, on April 13, Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii honored a fellow Hawaiian, former Sen. Daniel K. Akaka, who died at the age of 93 on April 6.

Internet personalities Diamond and Silk made an appearance via poster in the House committee room where Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was testifying on April 11.

Rep. Billy Long, R-Mo., provided the visual for his questioning about Facebook censorship, saying that Diamond’s and Silk’s pro-Trump videos had been deemed “unsafe.” Zuckerberg told the congressman the platform had made an “enforcement error.”

On March 22, Democratic Sen. Patrick J. Leahy of Vermont paid tribute to longtime colleague Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., by sharing an old photo of the two. Cochran resigned from the Senate on April 1 due to ongoing health issues.

On March 13, Rep. Ralph Abraham, R-La., brought a canine friend to the floor in honor of National K-9 Veterans Day.

Other members of the House had similar charts on this day to celebrate law enforcement dogs.
