The traditional 114th Congress official photograph is hanging in the Senate press gallery with some questions next to it.

Go to the Capitol’s third floor to check it out and see if you know the answers to two questions: Name the three senators who are missing, and name the senator who is only wearing one shoe.

On the House side, a room on the second floor of Cannon has been designated as the 115th Congressional Transition Office. A sign featuring an image of the Capitol welcomes new members of the House.

Go get some pie

You deserve it. Food & Friends is hosting Pie Day to support its annual Slice of Life Pie Selling Campaign, an event to fund means for the critically ill. There will be free samples of pie from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Farragut Square, K and 17th streets NW.

Not the shoe-shine stand!

Notice the shoe-shine stand in Cannon is missing? Don’t worry, it has just been moved as a result of the Cannon Renewal Project. It’s now located on the Rayburn side of the Rayburn Subway Tunnel and shoeshines and repairs are also available at the Rayburn barbershop in Room 2023.

D.C. cultural event of the day

Rodgers and Hammerstein’sCarousel” opens at Arena Stage (1101 6th St. SW) at 8 p.m. Also tonight, Tony- and Emmy Award-nominated director and playwright Moises Kaufman will be receiving the American Artist Award from Arena.

It’s the Election Impact Conference

Roll Call Live hosts Election Impact Conference 2016: The New American Landscape today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. Speakers include former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, former Senate majority leaders Tom Daschle and Trent Lott, and Rep. Rob Wittman, R-Va. Check out the website for more information.

Happy birthday to…

Rep. Brad Ashford, D-Neb., 67, who just lost his House seat to Republican Don Bacon.

Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, 62.
