No matter the party, members of Congress will root for their colleagues in times of need.

#TeamPoe bracelets are making their way through the Capitol. The office of Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, is handing them out to members to show their support for the congressman who has leukemia.

Poe announced his diagnosis in July. #TeamPoe has also become a widely used hashtag on Twitter.

Donate your books

The Library of Congress is now accepting donations until Oct. 25 for its annual book sale. Donations accepted include: books, comics, maps, music (all formats), video games, VHS/DVDs and reusable bags. The main drop location is in the Madison Building Atrium, Independence Ave. entrance. All proceeds benefit the general fund of the Combined Federal Campaign.
