PHILADELPHIA — Hillary Clinton will highlight the stakes of this presidential election, as well as offer specific policy proposals, in her address to the Democratic National Convention Thursday night.  

Campaign manager Robby Mook said Clinton’s speech would tie together each of the previous nights of the convention in Philadelphia.  

“Tonight in her speech, Hillary is going to stitch together each of these themes and talk about how this election is really a moment of reckoning for the voters,” Mook told reporters at a Thursday morning news conference.  

“Are you going to succumb to some very powerful forces that are tearing at our social fabric, that are dividing us economically and socially?” Mook said, previewing the choice Clinton will present to voters. “Or are we going to come together to solve these problems, to build an economy that works for everyone, to make our nation and our world more secure, and to make sure that every American has the same opportunities?”  

The former secretary of state is expected to draw a sharp contrast with the Republican nominee, real estate mogul Donald Trump, as well as outline some of her solutions to America’s problems.  

“You will hear her flesh out, not just what this means from a values standpoint, but specific policies to make our country stronger and to do it together,” Mook said.  

Clinton will also use her speech to formally accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for president, the first woman in U.S. history to do so.
