Trump Floats Female VP Contender Who Disparages ‘Woman Thing’

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer: 'This woman thing has gotten way out of control'

Women will love this.

Donald Trump, a candidate with remarkably low approval ratings from female voters, is dropping hints that he is considering a female running mate — one who believes there is too much emphasis on women in politics.

Trump said during an interview Sunday with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren that he was narrowing down his picks for a running mate. Then he heaped compliments on former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, whom he called “fantastic.”

Brewer, meanwhile, was over on CNN talking about her fatigue with “this woman thing” in politics.

“You know, this woman thing has gotten way out of control,” she said.

“And I think it’s been driven by the left, because they think that it’s going to bring them over the end. But I think people, when they sit down to vote, they vote for the very best candidate. They want somebody that’s going to represent them.”

Trump has made his feelings about the governor clear.

“Well, also Jan Brewer has been fantastic,” Trump said Sunday. “She has been so fantastic. You know, I won so big, her territory, and we won so big. And she is a fabulous woman.”

Trump said he had narrowed down his list of potential running mates to five to seven people. He also mentioned Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin  — a “fabulous person,” he said.
