Jeff Flake Unlikely to Play Castaway This Year

Sen. Jeff Flake in previous years has made a habit of going off the grid to test his mettle against Mother Nature.

It sounds like a much higher authority is expected to keep the reality TV star closer to home this summer.

“I think I need more time to talk my wife into letting me go for another break here,” the Arizona Republican, who retreated to uninhabited corners of the South Pacific in 2009, 2013 and 2014, said of the anticipated hiatus he’ll be taking from adventuring.

In addition to clearing his calendar for another such excursion, Flake acknowledged he’s unsure how to take the next trek up a notch. “I haven’t got it out of my system. The islands still beckon,” the avid outdoorsman told HOH.

“I’ve gone alone. I’ve taken the two youngest kids. I’ve gone with a Democrat. I don’t know what’s left. Maybe taking a movie star,” Flake mused.

Any celeb-vocates aching to become C-SPAN famous?
