The House dominates the 2014 richest members of Congress list.

Members of the House outnumbered their Senate counterparts on Roll Call’s 50 Richest Members of Congress list by a margin of more than 2-to-1.

A total of 35 representatives made the list, 22 Republicans and 13 Democrats. The combined minimum net worth of those lawmakers totaled $1.28 billion. A sizable portion of the total is attributed to Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who topped the list with a minimum net worth of at least $357 million. Issa’s wealth is roughly three times that of the next richest member on the list, Republican Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas.

House members also made up the majority of the very richest — with six of the top 10 .

Although there were plenty of members on the richest list, the House also dominated the 10 ‘poorest’, with a lone senator making the list.
