Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. Brings on Livingston Group

Now that Rupert Murdoch has split off the entertainment properties to 21st Century Fox, the remaining News Corp publishing company has started to bring on board new lobbyists under the guidance of Toni Cook Bush.  

The Livingston Group LLC , a government and public relations consulting firm, registered to lobby on behalf of News Corp. The firm will lobby on tax reform; sustainable growth rate transparency; data protection; student data accessibility, transparency and accountability; and Federal government acquisition databases.  

Their lobbyists include former Rep. Robert L. Livingston , R-La.; J. Allen Martin (former chief of staff to Rep. Livingston; Bernie Robinson (former chief of staff to Rep. James P. McGovern, D-Mass.; Paul Cambon (former legislative director to Rep. Livingston; and Steven Kreseski (former chief of staff to Rep. Robert Ehrlich, R-Md., and staffer to Sen. Larry Pressler, R-S.D.).  

Bush joined News Corp. in June 2013, and is Executive Vice President and Global Head of Government Affairs. She previously headed up the communications group at Skadden, Arps, Slate & Flom LLP. Earlier she was senior counsel for the Communications subcommittee of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.
