Top Corporate PAC Raises More Than $4 Million

The political action committee of Honeywell International had receipts of $4.1 million in 2013, ranking it first in receipts among all federal corporate PACs.  

Honeywell’s PAC had 2013 receipts of $4,121,239 averaging $343,436 per month, with the high month being May ($484,281) and the low month being July ($304,239). The PAC gave out $2.5 million to federal candidates and committees. The PAC also gave almost $500,000 to other political groups and state/local candidates. The PAC had operating expenditures of $752,682.

Here are the corporate PACs with the largest receipts in 2013, and their year-end cash on hand:

Employees of Northrop Grumman Corp. PAC $2,550,696 in receipts, $2,269,109 cash on hand.
United Parcel Service Inc. PAC $2,151,099 in receipts, $1,092,988 cash on hand.
Lockheed Martin Corp. Employees PAC $2,133,736 in receipts, $1,227,146 cash on hand.
Comcast Corp. & NBCUniversal PAC $2,081,657 in receipts, $853,475 cash on hand.
Boeing Company PAC $1,979,914 in receipts, $395,264 cash on hand.
Enterprise Holdings Inc. PAC $1,845,186 in receipts, $1,447,995 cash on hand.
AT&T Inc. Federal PAC $1,842,277 in receipts, $300,729 cash on hand.
Raytheon Company PC $1,739,025 in receipts, $791,752 cash on hand.
Koch Industries Inc. PAC $1,725,124 in receipts, $984,676 cash on hand.

The leader of all PACs was ActBlue, which raised $73.7 million. The federal account of Emily’s List raised $19 million. The Service Employees Int’l Union COPE raised $17.5 million. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Committee raised $11.8 million. The American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees PEOPLE raised $8.8 million.

The Federal Election Commission is still processing the detail of PAC contributions to candidates. When finalized, Political MoneyLine will post the rankings of PACs by the amount they gave to federal candidates and committees.
