Paul Ryan Raises $1 Million in 4th Quarter

Ryan For Congress, the campaign committee of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., reported it had receipts of $1,053,283 and disbursements of $456,603 from October 1 to December 31st, leaving $3,206,594 cash on hand, with debts of $27,431.

The committee itemized 4,270 totaled $594,245. The contributions came from Wisconsin, New York, California, Illinois, Florida, Texas, Virginia, among others states.

Selected donors included $24,650 from 16 executives of Assurant Health, including $10,000 from CEO Robert Pollock; $5,000 from Dev Chodry and Douglas Rothschild of Scoggin Capital Management (NJ; $5,200 from Miles White, CEO of Abbott Laboratories (IL); $5,200 from Donald Bollinger, CEO of Bollinger Shipyards (LA); $5,200 from Walter Blessey, chairman of Blessey Marine Services (LA); $2,600 from Scott Cook, founder of Intuit Inc. (CA); $2,600 each from Kim and John Schlifske, President and CEO of Northwestern Mutual (WI); among others.

PACs and other committees gave him $199,100. PACs giving $5,000 included Precision Machined Products Assn. PAC; Precision Metalforming Products Assn. PAC; National Tooling & Machining Assn. PAC; Marathon Petroleum PAC; National Assn. of Mutual Insurance Companies PAC; among others.

Transfers in from joint fundraising committees brought $258,871. Joint fundraising committees provided more funds from Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Illinois and Florida.

The committee paid SCM Associates $162,214 for direct mail fundraising, and gave $151,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee.
