Rep. Bill Flores Trades Heavily in Natural Resources Stock

A Congressman who sits on the House Natural Resources Committee and its subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, has reported heavy trading in stocks of energy companies and partnerships.

Members of Congress are required to file periodic reports of stock transactions by the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (Stock) Act. Rep. Bill Flores, R-Texas, who ranks as the 49th richest member of Congress, has filed several disclosure reports this year on his stock trades, many in transactions of more than $100,000. Flores is the former CEO of Phoenix Exploration Company, an oil and gas exploration company.

Rep. Bill Flores reported he purchased $100,001 to $250,000 of Enterprise Production Partners LP on 10/10; sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Enterprise Production Partners LP on 10/25; and bought $250,001 to $500,000 of Enterprise Production Partners LP on 11/6; and bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Enterprise Production Partners LP on 11/14.

Flores sold $250,001 to $500,000 of Linn Energy LLC Unit on 10/18; bought $250,001 to $500,000 of Linn Energy LLC Unit on 10/25; and sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Linn Energy LLC Unit on 11/1; and sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Linn Energy LLC Unit on 11/4.

Flores bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Crestwood Midstream Partners on 10/18; and sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Crestwood Midstream Partners on 11/1.

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., who ranks as the 21st richest member of Congress, bought $450,003 to $1 million of China Mobile Options Jan ’16 47.5 between 11/13 and 11/20.

Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., who ranks as the 7th richest member of Congress, reported he bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Networking Research Group Inc on 11/26. He also bought $100,001 to $250,000 of Jove Equity Fund I LP (BridgeHealth Medical Inc Note) on 12/10.

Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., who ranks as the 35th richest member of Congress, reported he sold $100,001 to $250,000 of Toyota Motor CP ADR on 11/15.
