Comcast & NBCUniversal PAC Maintains Contribution Pattern

Although NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt announced the “Hillary” mini-series project last month, their federal political action committee did not alter its pattern of political contributions during July.

The Comcast Corporation & NBCUniversal PAC reported this week that it gave out $151,000 in political contributions to members of Congress and their PACs during July. The PAC gave $81,500 to Democrats (53 percent) and $69,500 to Republicans (47 percent). The largest contributions ($5,000) went to Sen. Patrick J. Toomey, R-Pa.; the leadership PAC of House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.; and the leadership PAC of House Assistant Democratic Leader James E. Clyburn, D-S.C. The PAC gave out $81,000 on July 29, but there was not a shift to Republicans. The PAC has $657,278 cash on hand as of July 31.
