TeaPartyExpress.org PAC Raises Over $2 Million

The political action committee of a tea party group has raised more than $2 million during the first six months of the year, but expenses were very high.

Our Country Deserves Better PAC – TeaPartyExpress.org reported it had receipts of $2,179,948 and disbursements of $2,153,599 during the first six months of 2013, leaving $882,063 cash on hand as of June 30. The PAC received $1.8 million from contributors giving $200 or less.

Major donors include Rachel Mann (retired, FL) $7,500; John Mumford (Crossppoint Venture, CA) $5,000; Gerda Koontz (infor requested) $5,000; Gerald Nostrand (retired, CO) $9,000, but $4,000 was refunded; R. Martin (retired, FL) $5,000; among others.

The PAC spent $1.3 million on fundraising, printing and mailing, and telemarketing; $79,845 on list rentals; $119,000 on strategic consulting; and $134,017 on creative fees; among other expenses. The largest vendor was Russo Marsh & Associates, who was paid $760,260.
