The federal PAC of a state governor who has been mentioned as a possible presidential candidate has started to move money to members of Congress from Iowa and New Hampshire.

The PAC of Maryland Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley, O’Say Can You See PAC, reported it has raised $164,077 and sent $143,354 in the last six months, leaving $49,086 cash on hand as of June 30. The PAC raised $125,077 from individuals, and $39,000 from PACs and other committees.

Donors included $5,000 each from Terry Lierman (consultant, Md.); Leonard Blavatnik (chairman, Access Industries, N.Y.); John Dwyer (CEO, Capital Lease Funding Corp., Md.); Robert Wilmers (chairman, M&T Bank Corporation, N.Y.); among others.

The PAC gave $2,500 on June 30 to Bruce Braley for Iowa, the U.S. Senate campaign committee of Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Iowa. The PAC also gave $2,500 on June 30 to Friends of Jeanne Shaheen, the campaign committee of Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H.

Update: An O’Malley spokeswoman stated O’Malley has raised almost $500,000 this year. The federal PAC raised $164,077. The PAC also has a non-federal account that raised $315,497 in 2013. O’Malley’s state PAC in Maryland raised $8,000.
