‘Cap South’ Courts Staffers for Season Finale

The powers-that-be over at “Cap South” — a nascent Web series that views Congress through a fun-house mirror — are so excited about wrapping up their first season on Thursday that they’re offering Hill folks a chance to get in on the act.

Cast and crew will be congregating at Top of the Hill  (319 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for a real happy hour/fake farewell party for fictional Rep. Gracie Todd Englewright. Creator Rob Raffety told HOH he’s looking to host as many folks as possible (capacity will probably be limited to around 100), and plans to retain partygoers as extras for a post-HH filming scheduled to run from 7 p.m. till ???

Those looking to partake in the festivities should email media@capsoutheseries.com or RSVP via the show’s

or RSVP via the show’s Facebook page.

DC Brau is co-sponsoring the party so it’ll be the featured brew ($5 cans) of the night. Raffety said guests should also expect “plenty of fun swag.”

A scan of the FB replies so far shows that at least two Republican aides — flack Matthew Missen and Annie Dwyer, spokeswoman for Kansas Rep. Lynn Jenkins — are game for a little camera time. Raffety expects others to pop by as well.

“Not sure if any of the Top 50 beautiful people will be on hand. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beerholder,” he quipped.

Meanwhile, any staffers worried that hanging around after hours will make getting home later a logistical nightmare, should take heart.

Team Cap South understands the saga you go through just to get to and from work every day.
