GoProud to Laugh It Out

A gay conservative walks into the Supreme Court …

OK, so that’s probably not how every joke will start tonight at GoProud‘s comedy night fundraiser at RFD (810 Seventh St. NW).

But with the high court expected to rule as early as Wednesday on the constitutionality of California’s Proposition 8 and a potion of the Defense of Marriage Act, could there be a more interesting comedic venue to be?

Mike Finazzo will headline the gay conservative political group’s event, which will be hosted by Simone and features Wes Martens and Pat Coffey.

If previous GoProud soirees are any indication, such as last year’s “Homocon” at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., there could be, as brother blog HOH reported from Florida, “literally … something for everyone.”

Tickets are $20 bucks in advance and $25 at the door. To purchase, go to eventbrite.
