Democratic Super PAC Donors Give $900K

Seven super PAC donors provided $902,500 to the House Majority PAC, a Democratic-aligned super PAC, during April and early May. They were examples of unlimited giving to a super PAC by an individual, two unions, a corporation, and three federal PACs on unions.

The House Majority PAC reported receiving $250,000 on May 8 from 
George Marcus
, president of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services in Palo Alto, Calif. The American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees gave $150,000 on April 18. The Mostyn Law Firm, PC, of Houston, Texas, gave $100,000 on April 22. The IBEW PAC Education Fund also gave $50,000 on April 22.

The House Majority PAC reported raising $1,016,973 and spending $355,438 from April 18 to May 27, leaving $1,056,405 cash on hand as of May 27.

The PAC reported spending $284,065 on television advertising and direct mail as independent expenditures opposing Mark Sanford, R-S.C., in the South Carolina 1st district special election of May 7.
