Mitch McConnell

In McConnell’s mid-May filing he listed the asset as belonging to his spouse. His amendment filed yesterday makes clear it is a joint account. It’s the little things that count and with $1 million to $5 million involved it makes sense to make everything correct.

The annual financial disclosure report does not have to provide exact amounts of fees, compensation, or speaking fees earned by the spouse, but does require the names of those paying $1,000 or more. McConnell listed fees for his spouse from the Heritage Foundation (salary); News America (fees); Fox News (fees); Dole Food Company (fees); the Bloomberg Family Foundation Inc. (fees); Protective Life Insurance Company (fees); Wells Fargo & Company (fees); Delta Airlines (deferred compensation); Food Marketing Institute (speaking fees); Yale University (speaking fees); and Leading Authorities Inc. (speaking fees).
