DCCC Raises $5.4 Million, NRCC $5.1 Million

During April, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised more than the National Republican Congressional Committee, spent less than the NRCC, had more cash on hand than the NRCC, and had debts of $4.13 million compared with the $6.25 million in debts owed by the NRCC.

The DCCC reported raising $5,441,006 and spending $3,918,653, leaving $10,395,357 cash on hand as of April 30, and debts of $4,125,000. The committee raised $2.4 million from small unitemized contributions. California itemized donors gave $673,233. The committee spent $599,378 on telemarketing; $321,196 on list rental; $320,431 on payroll; among others. The committee repaid $375,000 on a loan, and transferred $162,501 to other committees.
