Lockheed Contributions Blast Off

The Lockheed Martin Corporation Employees PAC reported it gave $405,500 in March to federal candidates and committees. The PAC gave out $108,500 it February and none in January. The last time they gave this much was in March 2011, when it gave out $429,000. In 2011-2012 the PAC gave $3,173,500 to federal candidates and committees, with 58% going to Republicans and 42% going to Democrats. Other early defense-related PAC filings covering March activity include the Boeing Company PAC reporting it gave out $199,500 to federal candidates and committees; SAIC Inc. PAC reported giving out $197,660; United Technologies Corporation PAC reported it gave out $140,000; General Dynamics Corporation PAC reported it gave out $113,000; Huntington Ingalls Industries PAC reported it gave out $140,000.

Other PACs reporting for March included Deloitte PAC giving out $193,000 to federal candidates and committees; Associated Builders and Contractors PAC giving out $188,000; American Crystal Sugar Company PAC giving out $152,500; the American Society of Anesthesiologists PAC giving out $141,000.

The American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO Committee on Political Education reported for the entire first quarter giving out $644,000 to federal candidates and committees.
