Adam Clayton Powell IV Starts Campaign Committee

Adam Clayton Powell for Congress registered with the Federal Election Commission yesterday as the campaign committee for 

 with the Federal Election Commission yesterday as the campaign committee for Adam Clayton Powell IV, a former New York State Assemblyman and former New York City Councilman. Powell is running in the 13th Congressional District now represented by Rep. Charles Rangel. Powell was defeated by Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) in the 2010 Democratic Primary in NY-15, but endorsed Rangel in the 2012 election. Adam Clayton Powell IV is the son of former Rep. Adam Clayton Powell Jr. (D-NY), who lost to Rangel in 1970.
