Shelley Husband has been promoted to chief of staff for the House Judiciary Committee under Rep. Robert W. Goodlatte, R-Va. Husband was chief of staff to Goodlatte. She also has served as Goodlatte’s legislative director and counsel.

Branden Ritchie has been promoted to deputy chief of staff and chief counsel for the House Judiciary Committee for Goodlatte. He was legislative director and counsel. Ritchie also has worked as an attorney adviser for the trademark section of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Steve Elmendorf was elected chairman of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund’s board of directors. Elmendorf is the president of Elmendorf Ryan, a lobbying firm. He has worked as chief of staff for former Rep. Richard A. Gephardt, D-Mo. He has also worked as an adviser for the 2008 president campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton and the 2004 presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.

Randy Green has been hired as a principal at Watson Mulhern. Green was a senior government relations representative at McLeod, Watkinson & Miller. He also has served as a chief of staff to the Senate Agriculture Committee.

The following people have been hired at Hooper, Lundy & Bookman’s new federal government relations and public policy department:

Martin A. Corry has been hired as chairman. Corry was director of federal health policy at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, a law and lobbying firm. He has worked as special assistant to the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He also has worked as director of federal affairs for AARP.

Kelly L. Lavin has been hired as director. Lavin was the assistant director of federal health policy at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. She has worked as director of federal government affairs for the American Physical Therapy Association. She has also worked as a legislative assistant to former Rep. Phil English, R-Pa.

Alex M. Brill has been hired as an economic policy adviser. Brill was an economic policy adviser at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. He has worked as a policy director and chief economist to the Republican staff of the House Ways and Means Committee. He has also served as an economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers

Jordan Lieberman has been promoted to president at CampaignGrid. He was managing director. He also has worked as publisher of Campaigns & Elections magazine. He worked as a partner at Campaign Impact. He was the director of marketing at PoliticsNJ. He was also the campaign manager for Weingarten for Congress.

Robin Newhouse has been appointed as vice-chairwoman of the methodology committee at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. She works as a professor and chairwoman of organizations systems and adult health at the University of Maryland’s school of nursing.

Jeremy Zucker has joined the international trade practice at Dechert as a partner. Zucker was a partner in the international trade and investment practice at law and lobbying firm Hogan Lovells. Zucker is the co-founder and chairman of Freedom Now, a group that works to free political prisoners.
