Jason Howell’s Personal Beer Summit

Why wait until you’re in the Oval Office to knock back a few cold ones with the little guy(s)?

Motivational speaker and Congressional candidate Jason Howell is showing that type of initiative tonight at Bailey’s Pub & Grill in Crystal City, Va., where he’ll be hosting a “Happy Hour Town Hall” replete with free grub, cut-rate suds and an unfiltered Q&A.

Howell is running as an independent candidate in Virginia’s 8th Congressional district, which pits him against incumbent Democratic Rep. Jim Moran and fellow challengers Patrick Murray (R) and Green Party candidate Janet Murphy.

“You deserve an opportunity to meet your candidate face to face and ask questions that are important to you,” Howell posits on his website, adding, “Come early for some free appetizers and to take advantage of $2 Tuesday! Cheers.”

If you can’t make it for drinks tonight, Howell plans to press the flesh all weekend at the Arlington County Fair.
