HOH’s favorite tiger-suit-wearing ex-Congressman is back!

Last week, former Rep. David Wu (D-Ore.) sent out his annual Chinese New Year’s card and our loyal tipsters forwarded it along.

“From the Wu family to your family, Happy New Year! 4789, The Year of the Dragon,” the card proclaims.

Also included with the card is Wu’s new business card, which includes his telephone numbers and email addresses.

Under his name are three lines that say he is an attorney at law, a former Member of Congress and “(Seven Terms).”

“I sent [the card] to all my former supporters and former colleagues,” Wu tells HOH. “The people who have contacted me have been pleased to get it.”

The intent of the card is for people to get in touch, he tells us.

“I was going to print a full-size insert,” he says, but it was cheaper and faster to print the smaller business cards.

He is still using his “Wu for Congress” email address but said he is not planning a run for office.

One of his email addresses includes the word “wapiti,” which, as everyone knows, means “elk.” The word comes from the Shawnee Tribe’s word for “white rump.”

“I’ve always loved elk,” Wu tells us. “And I know that this is going to sound strange to someone who may not have been out West, but I both love elk and I hunted them.”

He even had a small elk library.

“A small elk library?” we asked, excited. “What is it?”

“A collection of books,” he explained.

“But that’s not important now,” we wish we had said.
