Shop Talk: House Majority PAC Adds Three to Staff
House Majority PAC, a Democratic-aligned super PAC, continues to expand its operation, announcing today the hiring of three Democratic operatives.
Gabby Adler and Jarrod Backous join the group as political desks, and Blake Williams will serve as a researcher. The new staffers join Executive Director Ali Lapp, Deputy Director Shannon Roche, researcher Matt Fuentes, finance assistant Kaitlyn Beck and Communications Director Andy Stone, who joined the group three weeks ago from the office of Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.).
Adler has served for the past several months as communications director to New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, a likely mayoral candidate. She spent most of 2011 as communications director for Rep. Howard Berman (D-Calif.) and was a regional press secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 2010 cycle.
Backous most recently served as campaign manager for Brad Schneider’s successful Democratic primary campaign in Illinois’ 10th district. Backous previously worked in the finance operations on the campaigns of Democratic Sens. Ben Nelson (Neb.), Mark Pryor (Ark.) and Richard Blumenthal (Conn.), and was at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in the 2004 cycle.
Williams is a veteran of House and Senate campaigns in Florida and spent the past few years in issue advocacy work, including for gun violence prevention and climate protection.
“With many targeted House races across the country heating up, House Majority PAC is continuing to build an organization that will hold Republicans accountable and take on Republican outside groups in the battle for the House majority,” Lapp said in a statement.
