HOH’s One-Minute Recess: First Friday’s November Surprise

Conservative happy hour First Friday is looking to generate some buzz for today’s event, with organizers boasting in an email that they have a “BIG special guest mingler lined up.”

Hmm. Considering presidential hopeful Herman Cain was all over Capitol Hill this week, is it possible the Hermanator will pop by the Union Pub to greet the conservative faithful?

“You’ve visited his websites. You’ve read his books. Now come have a drink with him! Who is it? You’ll have to wait till Friday to find out,” the email tease continues.

In the past, First Friday has boasted the likes of Speaker John Boehner, presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich and Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson.

But those expecting Cain might be disappointed.

The big name is none other than “notorious Internet personality Andrew Breitbart,” an HOH tipster says.

You might remember him for posting the photos that resulted in former New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner’s Twitter scandal and for stealing the spotlight at one of the strangest press conferences we’ve ever seen.

The happy hour is 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Union Pub at 201 Massachusetts Ave. NE. If you’re not sure if you want to go, think of First Friday’s motto: “Be there or be talked about.”
