Rivals Jeer Connie Mack’s Entrance in Florida Senate Primary

What a welcome.

Republican Senate hopefuls former House Majority Leader Adam Hasner and former Sen. George LeMieux both knocked new candidate Rep. Connie Mack IV on Monday.

LeMieux released a peppy web video comparing Mack to the Democrat the candidates are aiming to unseat, Sen. Bill Nelson. LeMieux called both “career politicians.”

Hasner’s campaign lumped all his serious opponents into the same negative sentence. “George LeMieux, Connie Mack, and Bill Nelson are the only people in America who believe that sending Washington politicians back to Washington will help solve the problems they created,” the campaign wrote in an email.

Mack jumped in the race last week even though he said earlier this year he wouldn’t run.
