Texas Gov. Perry Headlining Conservative Dinner in N.H.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry will speak at a key conservative dinner in Manchester, N.H., this fall, fueling more speculation that the Republican is leaning toward a presidential run.

Cornerstone Action announced Wednesday that Perry will keynote its annual dinner and awards banquet Oct. 28. Perry has indicated he will not make a final decision until after his state’s special legislative session is complete.

“Governor Perry has been a model example of both fiscal and social conservative leadership for the rest of the nation,” Cornerstone Action Executive Director Kevin Smith said in a statement.

The group said two of the current GOP presidential candidates, former Sen. Rick Santorum (Pa.) and businessman Herman Cain, have spoken at the dinner in recent years.
