HOH’s One-Minute Recess: A Congressman and a Former Congressman Walk Into a Bar …

When we think of Rep. Rick Larsen, “funny” might not be the word that comes to mind, but the Washington Democrat plans to change that next month when he steps up to the mic to compete for the title of Funniest Celebrity in Washington.

“Given my recent luck, I’ll start out behind and then win in late balloting,” Larsen says, referring to his recent close re-election win.

Larsen will compete against former Virginia Rep. Tom Davis (R) and other famous-for-D.C. types, including former “Top Chef” contestant Carla Hall and Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist. The event will be held at DC Improv on Dec. 2 and benefits the Fisher House Foundation, a charity that supports military families.
