Person Removed From Capitol on Stretcher

The D.C. Fire Department transported a young person out of the Capitol on a stretcher and took the person to a local hospital just before noon Wednesday.

Sgt. Kimberly Schneider, a Capitol Police spokeswoman, said the person was sick. Because of privacy laws, Schneider said she was unable to release further information.

“When people are transported to the hospital, and they haven’t broken the law, I can’t release any additional details,” she said.

Sources said the person was male and looked young. No one could say whether he worked in the Capitol or was visiting.
