HOH’s One-Minute Recess: Batteries Not Included

South Carolina Democratic Senate candidate Alvin Greene was once a GI — and now he wants to be manufactured for the masses like GI Joe.

Taegan Goddard’s Political Wire (which is part of the CQ-Roll Call family) found an interesting little tidbit in an article about Greene that was published across the pond in the British newspaper the Guardian. It seems Greene’s plan to create jobs in his state involves the production of Alvin Green action figures.

No, we aren’t joking.

“Another thing we can do for jobs is make toys of me, especially for the holidays,” Greene tells the newspaper. “Little dolls. Me. Like maybe little action dolls. Me in an army uniform, air force uniform, and me in my suit. They can make toys of me and my vehicle, especially for the holidays and Christmas for the kids. That’s something that would create jobs.”
