Nevada: Club for Growth Backs Angle in Senate Primary

The Club for Growth has endorsed former state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle (R) in Nevada’s Senate race.

“Sharron Angle is everything a pro-growth, limited-government, economic conservative can be, and everything Washington and the country need right now,” Club for Growth President Chris Chocola said in a statement.

Angle is facing nearly a dozen other Republicans in the June 8 primary.

She has significant support from tea party groups, but recent polls show her trailing former state GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden, and she has been outspent by both Lowden and Las Vegas businessman Danny Tarkanian.

The winner will take on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D) in the fall.
