Virginia Rep. Perriello Issues 85-Page “Annual Report”

Look for Rep. Tom Perriello (D-Va.) to emphasize his accessibility and visibility in his district as he campaigns for a second term in southern and central Virginia.

Perriello’s congressional office on Wednesday released an 85-page “Annual Report” that relates, in exhaustive detail, how the congressman has voted, letters he’s authored or signed, bills introduced or co-sponsored, key votes he’s cast, and even the dates of his district appearances organized by jurisdiction.

As you’d expect, the document describes in favorable terms some major legislation Perriello backed and Republicans opposed. Perriello in February voted for the economic recovery law, the document says, “because of his strong support for increased investment in job-creating programs to turn the economy around and avoid another Great Depression.” Republicans say that the economic plan hasn’t created jobs.
